This site is operated under the trading style ClearCDM by Robbie Thompson Design Ltd, registered in England and Wales, Co. No. 10355527, registered office 7 Barossa Place, Bristol BS1 6SU, VAT No. GB 462879839. Every appointment made through this site is with Robbie Thompson Design Ltd. Using the site means accepting these terms.

What the site content is. The content of this site is general information about the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and about our service. It is not advice on any specific project and it is not a substitute for an appointment. What we do on a project, and what you can rely on, is defined by the written appointment and quotation for that project and nothing else.

No appointment by browsing. Sending an enquiry, receiving a quotation or completing an online form does not of itself create an appointment. An appointment exists when it is confirmed in writing on our side and accepted on yours, as the appointment document describes.

Instant quotes. A quote from the instant quote tool is built from the answers given and is subject to our review: if the project is materially more complex than described we may adjust the fee, and neither party is committed until that review is done. Nothing is contracted online and no money is taken online: we check and confirm every quote, normally within one working day, then send the appointment and the payment details. Quotes cover the CDM 2015 principal designer role only: the client duties that commercial clients hold under CDM 2015 are never part of our appointment, and the separate principal designer role under the Building Regulations is not included. Cancelling, for consumers. Where you deal with us as a consumer, you may cancel within 14 days of the appointment being confirmed without giving a reason, and anything already paid is returned in full. If you ask us to start within those 14 days and then cancel, we may keep a proportionate charge for work already done. To cancel, email mail@clearcdm.co.uk quoting your reference.

The online forms. The forms on this site exist to run live projects. Submit information through them only if you are involved in such a project, and take care that what you submit is accurate; the project team will rely on it in planning safe work. Information submitted is handled as the privacy notice describes.

Third party links. Links to HSE guidance and other sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

Content ownership. The text, documents and identity on this site belong to Robbie Thompson Design Ltd. Download and share our published PDFs freely and unaltered; do not reuse the content commercially without permission.

Insurance. Professional indemnity insurance is held with Markel International Insurance Company Limited to a limit of £1,000,000 for any one claim. Details of our insurance are available on request to mail@clearcdm.co.uk.

Complaints. If something is wrong, email mail@clearcdm.co.uk with your reference and what has happened. You will have an acknowledgement within two working days and a substantive answer within ten. Nothing in this process limits your legal rights.

Liability. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, we accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on the site's general content, as opposed to the documents and advice provided under a written appointment.

Law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
